As an individual I'm not important. People die every day, and life goes on. However, what I believe is very important. Not because I believe it, but because it is the Truth. In fact, it means life or death for both you and me. It is the Cause that is really worth living or dying. The Truth is that you and I are both sinners because we have broken God's Commands. The problem with that is than even one sin will keep us from going to Heaven when we die. We can't do right. We've both tried and failed. There must be a another way. Thank God there is another Way. Strange as it sounds, God let His Son die for us to pay the penalty for our sins. That's great, but we must receive that Gift from God to have it apply to us.
